Our Area’s BEST Haunted Houses!
Greenville Haunted Firehouse
Open on weekends in October, this unique experience is giving you as many or as little thrills as you can handle. Prices are super reasonable and the proceeds are donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Along with a ticket you have the option to purchase a $10 “Teaser Ball,” which signifies to the haunt crew that you are fair game in the scare department. The “Teaser Ball” is NOT for the faint of heart, as you will have to sign a last will and testament liability release form prior to purchase. (Cue the all the scared face emojis right here.)
Terror of Tallahassee
This 25 minute haunt has been known to have people begging for the exit early. Instead of pushing their customers through a continuous line, they take small groups that create more of an intimate setting to really get your scare on. Open on the weekends and then throughout the week of Halloween, Terror of Tallahassee is a must see.
Fright Furnace at Sloss
I gotta admit that this one is personally on my bucket list. Staffed with a Hollywood Special Effects team, Fright Furnace is one of the top haunted houses in the world. Underground tunnels and dark passageways are just some of the settings you will find yourself in during the haunt. The pictures online are enough to give you the heebie-jeebies! And to put a different twist on things, there are other attractions within Sloss Furnace to keep the fear going for much longer than a quick haunt.
This haunted house is located within what is believed to be a true haunted house. The Columbia Manor was built in 1864, and has since served originally as a college, then a sanitarium to quarantine Pellagra victims. There is much more history that is encompassed within the walls of this home, so it only made sense to keep the spirits alive within the manor by adding a chilling haunt to it. Each year, Columbia Manor is heavily visited during its 13 Nights of Terror, so be sure to get tickets or check out their option for fast passes!
Sleepy Hollow Haunted Farm
When I went to do some research on this particular haunted house, I literally yelled, “Nah-uh!” upon pulling up their website. Just the creepy clown that welcomes you to their website gave me instant creeps- not to mention it follows you from page to page on the site. Sleepy Hollow Haunted Farm began as just a haunted house adventure, but now has Zombie Paintball and an R.I.P. Ride. It also has a haunted hayride and murder maze which makes for hours of thrills!
